A staple of the adidas Boost Boston Games, the adidas High School Dream Miles bring the best high school middle-distance runners from across the nation to Boston for a thrilling end-of-season competition. Moving to the roads, the competitors in the adidas High School Dream Miles will finish on the same track used by the fastest men and women in the world in the adidas Boost Boston Games.

Among the first athletes confirmed for the boys’ mile include:

•Carter Storm of Kingwood, Texas, third at in the 1600m at last year’s Texas state high school championships and the fourth-fastest high school over 1500m boy for the 2019 outdoor season;

•Cole Lindhorst of Katy, Texas, the fifth-fastest high school over 1500m boy for the 2019 outdoor season;

•Rylan Stubbs of Gilbert, Arizona, a three-time Arizona state high school champion and runner-up in this year’s Arcadia Invitational 1600m.

The girls’ mile will feature prep athletes with national experience, including:

•Heidi Nielson of Katy, Texas, who finished sixth in the 2019 USATF U20 Cross Country Championships and was Team USA’s fourth finisher in the Women’s Under-20 race at the 2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships;

•Carmen Alder of Pinehurst, North Carolina, last year’s USATF Junior Olympics Champion at 3000m and a four-time North Carolina 4A State Champion;

•Brynne Sumner of Woodstock, Georgia, the 2018 Georgia 7A State Champion over 800m, 1600m and cross country.

More top prep entrance will be announced soon, as well as competitors for the Boys’ and Girls’ adidas High School Dream 100.

The adidas High School Dream Mile and adidas High School Dream 100 use the same specially constructed track as the reigning US 100m Champion Noah Lyles and 2016 Olympic 400m Champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo at the adidas Boost Boston Games.

Earlier in the day, the public will participate in the new adidas Boost Back Bay Mile races, held on the same course as the elite races. The races will be divided by age group. Registration is available today at www.adidasboostboston.com.

The adidas Boost Boston Games, produced by Boston-based Global Athletics and Marketing, Inc., is part of the 2019 USATF Outdoor Championship Series and will be broadcast live from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT on NBC Sports Gold and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT on NBC on Sunday, June 16.
